I am an assistant professor (Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter), at the Chair of Theoretical Philosophy at the University of Siegen in Germany. I am also affiliated with the Digitales Kant-Zentrum NRW on the Kant and Cognitive Science project. My primary research areas are Kant, post-Kantian German philosophy (especially Schopenhauer), and the history of analytic philosophy (especially Sellars). I am interested in the intersections of these areas with the philosophy of mind, cognitive science, epistemology, and the philosophy of science. Additionally, I am interested in Islamic philosophy and theology and am the editor of the PhilPapers category al-Ġazālī.

You can also find me on my university webpage, on PhilPheople, and on my ORCID page. You can contact me at mahdi [dot] ranaee [at] uni [hyphen] siegen [dot] de.
